Time to Register for the
2009-2010 School Year
Dear Parents:
Our country is going through some very trying and difficult economic times. Windsor Academy’s Finance Committee realizes that many Windsor families are struggling to get by and keep their expenses as low as possible. With that in mind, the committee worked meticulously to keep the tuition increase for the 2009-2010 school year to a bare minimum. The Finance Committee recommended to the Board of Directors to increase the 2009-2010 school tuition only 1%, which represents approximately a $5.00 per month increase per student. On January 22, 2009, the Board of Directors approved the 1% increase and the new budget for the 2009-2010 school year. Even with the tuition increase, Windsor Academy’s tuition is one of the lowest in the middle Georgia area.
The registration for current students will be $200 before March 1, 2009 and $300 after March 1, 2009. The registration for new students will be $400 before March 1, 2009 and $500 after March 1, 2009.
Once again, if a family who currently has a child enrolled at Windsor is responsible for a new family enrolling at Windsor, then that family will receive a $250 credit for recommending a new family, and a $350 credit if two children are involved and a $450 credit if three or more children are involved. The credit will be taken from the May 2010 tuition payment. The new family must give the name of the family who is to receive this credit at the time of registration.
Financial Aid applications will be taken March 1, 2009 -May 31, 2009. We urged parents to complete and submit their application online. There will be a limited number of applications available in the business office. Aid is awarded to a limited number of families and a final decision is not made until all applications have been processed. Each year you must re-apply for financial aid even though you received it the prior year.
For those students receiving assistance in the Resource Center, there is a $200 annual processing fee. The monthly fees are $50 a month for students who are monitored only or $225 a month for students who are in the center one period each day. Parents will be responsible for paying the cost of the resource center tuition from August through May.
Sincerely,
John C. Cranford, EdD
